Borsos
Rooted Dance Maker
hungary

Luca Borsos works as a freelance performer and drama instructor.

She experiments, deepens and plays with different forms of participation. She is engaged in artistic and community projects in several different roles: sometimes she is present as a performer, a mediator/facilitator, a drama pedagogue, organizer or movement researcher. In her work, she likes to focus on non-verbal, movement-based, and sensorial experiences.

She has lived and studied in Spain for five years and graduated in Madrid as a performer. Later she continued her studies at the University of Theater and Film Arts (Budapest), as a drama instructor. In her dissertation her goal was to understand and unfold the function of ritualized practices in the field of creative processes and workshops. Her research has focused on practices that provide a platform for group identity formation and for transformation.

She’s also organizing warm-up sessions for audience members of contemporary dance shows to offer them an experience of body awareness before watching a show. She is member of the Budapest based theater company StereoAkt and founding member of a movement research group (SVUNG kutatócsoport).
