Brina Klampfer is self-employed in culture as a director, dramaturg, producer and performer.

She is a graduate of the Master’s programme in Theatre Directing at the AGRFT in Ljubljana and a Master’s in Comparative Literature. In 2016, she founded the KUD Krik Association and has been running it ever since. She is the initiator and leader of the Vzkrik platform, which is dedicated to the development of contemporary Slovenian drama and supports young artists in developing their own independent projects. She won the Noble Comedy Award 2022 for her directorial and screenwriting debut Paloma.

As dramaturg and assistant director, she has worked with many renowned directors. Her theatre directing mentor is Tomislav Janežič. She has signed theatre adaptations and independent dramaturgies of plays staged in all major Slovenian theatres. In her original and dramatic theatre, she is primarily concerned with the exploration of individual identity in relation to the political systems she lives under, and addresses various questions concerning the relationship towards women.
